The  ZTE Blade is marketed by idea in India, sells for a price of Rs.7995. It includes a free 3G service worth Rs.3,500 in this price provided by the idea network & idea TV subscription with 1GB monthly download for 3 months.

Hardware & design

The phone is designed with a panel made of plastic with a graphite-black matte finish. It looks like a costly feel with two shiny strips on the side. It weighs about 120g and is a centimetre thick. It has a loudspeaker, a micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack.

This phone has a modified Qualcomm MSM7227 processor 600MHz. It contains 256MB RAM.

Internal storage is about 200MB. But you can use a micro-SD card to expand upto 16GB. Graphics chip is equivalent to that of Apple A4 chip.

Screen: 3.5 inch TFT LCD display.

Screen Resolution: 800x480 pixels.

Software

Blade has Android 2.2 Froyo. Its somewhat bad saying about this phone because most phones come with Android 2.3 Ginger Bread. However we can upgrade it to 2.3.

Connectivity

It supports Bluetooth v2.1 and Wi-Fi apart from 3G. The phone has a feature of compass and GPS that are accurate.
